Overview of Damiana
Damiana (Turnera diffusa) has been used for centuries in Mexico, Central America, and the American Southwest as a sacred and uplifting herb. When smoked, its smooth, aromatic flavor carries a warm, slightly spicy note that blends beautifully with other herbs—or can be enjoyed on its own.
Traditionally celebrated as an aphrodisiac and mood enhancer, Damiana is known for its relaxing yet gently stimulating effects. Many herbalists describe the smoke as grounding the body while sparking a subtle sense of euphoria and clarity. Unlike harsher tobaccos, Damiana produces a light, easy draw that’s both soothing to the lungs and calming to the mind.
Smokers often turn to Damiana to:
-
Ease tension and stress while maintaining alertness
-
Enhance social connection with a mild, heart-opening effect
-
Add depth and smoothness when blended with other ceremonial herbs
Whether rolled in a spliff, packed into a pipe, or used as a base in an herbal blend, Damiana is a versatile herb that transforms a smoke session into a ritual of relaxation and connection. It’s not just an herb—it’s an experience, linking you to traditions of plant medicine that stretch back hundreds of years.

I’ve had great success with this as an amazing aphrodisiac. When all the hormonal medications I’ve been on for years to increase libido have failed me, this gem is my saving grace! My husband and I thank you!

Very gentle and relaxing when smoked on its own or mixed with other herbs, like cannabis’ little sister; has the calming, anxiety reducing effects without the intoxication. My only complaint is that my tin got stuck shut twice- second time I had to pry it open and moved the damiana into a jar instead. Unsure if it’s a problem with just that tin or not. Otherwise the herb itself came pre-sifted and ground which is great and you get a good amount of it.
