Native to northern and central Africa, the aromatic petals were used as smokes, teas, perfumes, and even added into wines in order to enhance the experience.

The effects of the Blue Lotus Flower are known to vary. Some experience psychoactive properties that can induce euphoria and vivid dreams, others experience calmness and tranquility. It is also known to help open the Third Eye.
