The Mintz is a perfect balance of flowers, herbs and mint. It is mildly stimulating and opening with a cool refreshing aftertaste.

Bear Blend Herbal Chew is a more condensed form of our loose herbal blends. It is not a tobacco chew alternative. It like an herbal candy for people who like to chew, and has a slightly sweet flavor. The herbs do not need to be spit out — they are edible and safe for consumption. Please use caution as you might feel the effects of the herbs immediately, especially with stronger blends.

I’ve never tried tobacco chaw before, so I can’t even attempt to compare it. All I can say is that its basically a ‘candied’ version of the loose blend. It’s been soaked in a veg-based glycerin, and compacted and condensed (so don’t be surprised when it arrives and its in a tin that’s a third of the size of the loose blend; it’s not at all light and fluffy, but it’s still 32 grams).

Chewing on it, it dissolves just a little bit, and kinda crunches with a kind of metallic tang as it does, kinda like cotton candy/fairy floss. That’ll be the glycerin. It’s not unpleasant, but it’s still loose herbs, so sometimes you get pieces that feel like they’re stuck behind your tongue or in the back of the throat.

It might have been better to maybe try making pre-portioned chewable pieces, like in beeswax or even pine resin, in keeping with the bear theme.
